  4. John--We both barely remember writing it!! It's weird; after we decided to write about FW, it's like it came out of us quickly and somewhat fully formed. But, logistically: Phil's an excellent document/framework-starter, he types one day, then I type the next, and so on. Then we tweak. I *DO* remember a nice paratextual thing: our daughter's friend's dad gave us the Glissant book a couple months before we read FW; the day that we finished up the essay and emailed Meg, I walked our daughter down to this bougie folk festival thing (while Phil was fixing up the final draft) wherein her same friend's sister was playing banjo with a band, and I told the book-dad that we'd just written something which intersected with his gift, and I left our daughter at the festival to walk home and the weather was so pleasant.
