conformity is the major factor when orienting towards survival, so good drag exposes the construct: beyond merely living we want to be liv-ing inside of the word. in hopes of harmony and success, all conformity is based in witnessing and response to acceptable identities: an underlying commitment to sustaining conservative culture. At the height of capitalist success some achieve celebration with flair. in reverse, drag attracts diverse elements to itself that examine, thrive for, and even affectionately mock gatekeepers that be. drag rips seams that incur internally: a model of politics on transgressions that address the very surface. so show up as even more than yourself to city hall in protest of their sickening policies.
