from Emily Greenquist: Looking for The Peregrine

Looking for The Peregrine

Pete’s packing for a camping trip, and we’re looking for our copy of The Peregrine. It travels the house, The Peregrine, with intentions of “I’ll read it later” or “I’ll take it with me.” This book has perched on so many spots in our house, a floating reminder, but now we can’t find it. The Peregrine could be in any drawer, under any object. Check the laundry, check under the sink. It’s just there, right there, and still nowhere. Pete says it’s like looking for Easter baskets. “An Easter basket should be stored in the dishwasher. Everyone will be disappointed when it’s not in the dishwasher.”
