A third culture kid at heart, Ellen's writing is informed by their love of contemporary art, by geopolitics, memory, philosophy, science and mathematics, and their experiences moving through society as a femme-presenting genderqueer. Recent interviews include via the New Books Network podcast with Hollay Ghadery, the "12 or 20 questions" series with rob mclennan, with James Morehead at Viewless Wings, with Margo LaPierre for Room magazine, and with Manahil Bandukwala for Canthius, with plenty of others appearing at the back of their website. Co-founder of the experimental Riverbed Reading Series and a member of the poetry collective VII, Ellen is an editorial collective member for Room magazine and a creative nonfiction editor for long con magazine. They are currently based on the unceded territory of the Algonquin Anishinaabe (Ottawa, Ontario), where they work as a judicial assistant with the Federal Court, garden and bake in their spare time, cycle the riverside pathways, and play mahjong with the Capital Riichi Club.
