Hello everyone,

The Submittable machine is being wonky today, and it seemed to be back up and running, then it went down again, so considering this, we’ve extended the deadline until July 3rd.

Remember that this is an open book prize, meaning that first, second, third, fourth and beyond books are most welcome. I’d like to highlight two other points, as well: 1) U.S. citizenship is not required, and 2) a two-issue subscription to Fence is included in the reading fee.

Here are the guidelines again for your reference. Click anywhere in the screenshot and you’ll be transferred to the Submittable page. You may get an error message today, but we imagine they will get it all fixed by tomorrow.

We sincerely look forward to reading your full-length poetry manuscripts.

Yours,

Emily Wallis Hughes

Editorial Director & Fence Books Editor
