Canadian Poets Series #38 : Dani Spinosa
Dani Spinosa [photo credit: Jesse Pajuäär] is a poet, scholar, educator, writer, and a computer programmer. She is sometimes an adjunct professor, a software developer, a digital and creative project manager, a co-founding editor of Gap Riot Press, President of Canthius: Feminism. & Literary Arts, the Managing Editor of the Electronic Literature Directory, and the author of two books of poetry: Whispering Gallery (Assembly Press, 2026) [see a review by rob mclennan] and OO: Typewriter Poems (Invisible Publishing, 2020) [see reviews by Ryan J. Cox in Prairie Fire, Mark Laliberte in Carousel, Eva Heisler in Asymptote, and rob mclennan] and one scholarly book, Anarchists in the Academy (U of Alberta Press, 2018). She has published several chapbooks of poetry--including Glosas for Tired Eyes Vol 2 (2018), Civilization (2020) and A Mean, Mean Thirst: poems for my friends and their books (2024) from above/ground press--and several more peer-reviewed journal articles on poetry and is a member of the editorial collective publishing the Electronic Literature Collection Volume 5. She lives in beautiful Wasaga Beach, Ontario with one beautiful man, two beautiful cats, and a very silly dog.
