Chicagoans, from Reba Elliott: Shared Studio Space with Printing Presses!

Shared Studio Space with Printing Presses!

We’re looking for two more people to join our shared studio space at 329 W 18th Street. We have several printing presses that we share so this would be a great opportunity for fellow printmakers, book artists, or letterpress printers. In addition to the shared printing workspace, you would have your own space of about 175 sq feet.

We have: letterpress (10x15 treadle-powered platen press) and some wood and metal type etc, etching press, proof press, offset press, perfect binding machine, spiral binding machine, guillotine, kingsley hot foil stamping machine.

On the 9th floor of a very well-maintained building walking distance from the Cermak/Chinatown red line stop, with free parking nearby as well, or paid parking in the building. Freight and passenger elevators, a kitchenette with microwave right next to our studio space as well as a common space and cafe on the 5th floor.

We host open studio days and workshops a few times a month to engage with the community, and you’re welcome to participate in that if you want to.

We’re looking for two people who would each have a 175 sq ft space for $350/month or one person who wants to take over both spots for a total of 350 sq feet at $700/month.

Rent includes utilities and internet, 1-year lease. Security deposit is one month’s rent. The space will be available in December or January.
